It’s been 40 years since Registration Transfers was established. Now based in our headquarters in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, we have become the UK's leading private number plate supplier. All in all, the company has played a huge part in the long-lasting appeal and proven investment potential of personal number plates today.
Keeping up with the times
Our company has evolved a great deal over the last four decades. When founder and managing director Tony Brown started the business he didn't have the internet to aid his efforts in selling number plates. He had to resort to making phone calls from home and pushing leaflets underneath windscreen wipers daily. Nowadays, Regtransfers has over 100 employees sharing the mission. Some things have remained constant, however, and Mr Brown is still very much at the forefront, actively running the business today.
Adapting and staying resilient
We have had to adapt to many changes in our industry over the years. We have seen the closure of DVLA's local offices and the introduction of new car registration plates, as well as complications caused by Brexit and Covid. Throughout everything, our company has proved resilient and stable, enabling us to remain focused on providing our customers with unbeatable choice, value and service.
